My name is Shane Price, and before Life of Pins was ever a business, it was simply life in motion: family, responsibility, long days, and a dream that never left me. At the heart of it all has always been a deep passion for repairing and restoring vintage musical instruments. That dream still means everything to me.
Like a lot of people, I know what it feels like when life throws unexpected curves your way. Some seasons ask you to slow down, reroute, or rebuild. But even when the road changed, the bigger vision stayed the same: keep moving, keep creating, and keep finding a way forward for the people you love.
Somewhere along that road, while chasing one passion, I found myself pulled into another. Pin trading started as a curiosity and quickly became something far more meaningful. The design, the nostalgia, the hunt, and the stories behind each piece made collecting feel special in a way I did not expect.
What made the hobby even better was sharing it with my fiancée and our three children. Trading, collecting, and discovering new pins together brought real joy into our home. It became more than a collection. It became a way to make memories, connect over the little things, and enjoy the thrill of finding the next treasure together.
Life of Pins is my way of turning that joy into something honest and useful. As a sole proprietor, I built this shop to share pieces from my collection, move excess pins into the hands of collectors who will love them, and create something that feels welcoming, personal, and real. It is a business, but it is also a stepping stone toward a bigger dream.
I know collecting should feel exciting, not out of reach. That is why I want Life of Pins to help people grow their collections affordably while still enjoying the fun of the search.
